The girl in this photograph of the Red pumpkin is my daughter Haru.
I launched this website for foreign visitors because I would like much wider
foreigners to visit Naoshima. This website linked several websites in English.
I'd like you to use my website as a subsidiary.
If you have any questions about Naoshima then let me know by e-mail or
BBS.
Of course this website is less well-known ( only 1 or 2 person visit here
a week ), so that don't hesitate to contact me.
5th September
Japanese summer vacation was ended so that the congestion in works was
much eased. But you might have to wait for around one-hour yet. (Chichu
Art Museum and Minamidera)
15th August
I returned my hometown, Naoshima, in this summer. I was surprised that
so many people visited Naoshima because of Setouchi Art Festival 2010.
Furthermore it was during Japanese summer vacation week, we call "Bon
vacation", so that it was very crawded with people.
In this week, you might wait to enter Chichu art museum over 3 hours. And
I'm afraid that you can't take a high speed boat smoothly to other islands.
But after Bon vacation, this congestion will be much relieved.
I found the information monitor, which was called "Art Navi" in Takamatsu station and ticket office of Takamatsu port, Uno port and Miyanoura port.
You can see the waiting time for museums and works in real-time. And you
can get information of transportation (ferry boats and train) in real-time.
You can also check this real-time information on the web.
(But unfortunately, this website is by only Japanese language.

According to this website information, Chichu art museum and Minamidera
of House Project were especially crawded in this week.
You should pick up a numbered ticket at first. And I recommend that you
visit other works during the waitng time.
There are few English speakers in Naoshima.
But even if you or your company don't speak Japanese, islanders can read
your body language so that you can enjoy staying in Naoshima without undue
anxiety.
Although currency exchange is unable in Naoshima, borrowing cash on credit
is available at 114-Bank ATM in front of town office in Honmura area.
(But the ATM doesn't work on Saturday, Sunday and Public holiday. And it's
operated by only Japanese language.)
